What is it? Does it really work?
There is a great deal of misunderstanding about fiber protectant. Basically, fiber protectant is a liquid Teflon product that creates a protective layer on your home furnishing fabrics that does not change the look or feel of the fabric to which it is protected. Fiber protectant repels spills, spots and soils and keeps them to the fabric’s surface where they can be easily cleaned or removed with a cloth or paper towel. It will retain its stain resistant properties through several professional cleanings.
Any fabric in the home can be safely scotchguarded (wall to wall carpeting, area rugs, all upholstered items, all drapes and window treatments). It is spray applied and then brushed in and then needs time to cure properly (normally about 24 hours).
